Rewind: Jesus Spot

These are photos taken by Angel Villanueva during our surf session at Carille last February. Although most of us knows about the bad publicity it gets, Carille, when it's working on a good day, is still my favorite wave! :)

missing LU's point waves already...

Here are some photos of me taken by Angel at the Point last March that I'd like to share :) Really miss the LU point waves...

Thanks Angel!

By the way, if you look closely, you'l see that I'm wearing a pair of denim cut-offs ( from Billabong). This is now my favorite pair to wear in and out of the water.I was surprised at how comfortable it is to surf in. No boxers required! : )

sunset logging

Hope you like this video our friend Jeff G. made. It was shot in Lu last week when we were feeling a bit bummed that it was our last day there and it was still really puny in front. Jeff suggested that we check Sunset Beach which was a few kilometers further north. We borrowed Angel and Marie’s jeep, loaded our boards, and went off.
We’re sure glad we did!

Rewind: The Summer you were mine

Hi guys!

We just want to share this video that we did with our good friends Joncy Sumulong and Alf Molo two summers ago featuring the music of Gab Jover and Juan Drama Jr. :)

on our iPods: All This Beauty

"All This Beauty"

All this beauty
You might have to close your eyes
And slowly open wide
All this beauty, we traveled all night
We drank the ocean dry
And watched the sun rise

You can ask about it, but nobody knows the way
No breadcrumb trail to follow through your days
It takes an axe, sometimes a feather
In the sunshine and bad weather
It's a matter of getting deeper in, any way you can

All this beauty
You might have to close your eyes
And slowly open wide
All this beauty, we traveled all night
We drank the ocean dry
And watched the sun rise

I can see your new awake
Let me assure you friend:
Every day is ice cream and chocolate cake
And what you make of it, let me say
You get what you take from it so be amazed
And never stop, never stop, never stop
You gotta be brave

'Cause all this beauty
You might have to close your eyes
And slowly open wide
And watch the sun rise
And watch the sun rise
And watch the sun rise

Skatie Sunday

Hi Guys, check out this new video our good friend Mark T. Ouano did.Oh by the way, there are no radical bone breaking skate tricks or anything like that here. It's just a simple vid of a guy who skates simply the way he surfs.

Basically it's about a guy who's been itching to surf, checks the forecast, and sees that it's still flat the entire week, decides to drive around, finds a new spot, and makes the smooth fresh asphalt road a glassy ocean playground and his own surf spot to coast on for the day.

Skate the Night Away..

Jeff of Moonshine and Saltwater, Marvin, and Doc Ian

Been skating lately with friends at the Fort. It's a really fun and inexpensive way to spend summer nights and unwind while burning a few calories. It's also a great way to work on some of your surf moves while waiting for your next surf because what you do on your skate board can really translate to your surfing style and technique. My friend Mark Ouano sent me these photos during our last skate session. Thanks Mark!

Franco and Frances of "My Own Little Ink Shop" dropped by after a long day of creating a number of master pieces on skin. Last time I saw this cool couple was in LU when they drove up north on their awesome two-wheeled coaster.
