Sharing Waves

Joel Tudor

It was really great bumping into these guys on the beach. It's amazing how the ocean and the act of riding waves can connect you to people you otherwise will only get to see in magazines or surf films.

Surfing breaks down boundaries, lets you be in the same ocean, and even share waves with your surf heroes.

At the end of the day, we're all just surfers sitting on our boards, floating around the ocean, waiting for a wave :)

  1. I remember being similarly star struck in L.U. being out in the water with some of the Philippine's best surfers! Totally humbling though when they are there in the lineup with a smile on their face and words of encouragement.

Enjoy the rest of your time in Cali!

  2. wait a sec, Noah, JT, and Alex all at the Bu? Contest going on or just good waves? Those three are pretty much the new generation legends.

  3. Thanks Meghan! :)
It truly is a humbling experience to sit in the line up next to surfer's you admire specially if they nod and smile at you and tell you what a beautiful day it is, that you can go on the next wave, or cheer for you while you're up and riding.

I think more than their ability to do amazing tricks on the board, their ability to inspire, encourage, and make surfing a more special experience for others makes you admire them even more :)

  4. Yup, even Harrison Roach was there. I think it was the good waves and a little bit of luck that I got to meet these new generation legends at the Bu :)
